Veritas is Ireland’s largest publisher and retailer of religious books, with a history dating back to 1899. Over the years, the business has grown to operate multiple retail stores across the country, along with an online store that serves both retail and trade customers. As Ireland’s leading provider of religious publications, Veritas continues to be the go-to source for religious materials, catering to over 78% of the country’s Catholic population.
To keep up with the evolving technology landscape and the demands of their customer base, Veritas sought to upgrade their e-commerce platform and ensure all their business data—across physical stores and their online operations—remained seamlessly integrated.

The challenge
Finding the right e-commerce partner
Veritas faced several challenges when upgrading their e-commerce and backend systems:

Veritas sought a new, mobile-friendly e-commerce platform that would integrate directly with their new ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, to manage their multi-store operations efficiently.
Our website hadn’t been updated since 2011 and was not suitable for changing technology or keeping up with our competitors. It served the purposes of simply an online portal for retail but was not suitable to our growing audience.

Switching over and scaling up

We found WebSell great to work with. As with any large project, there were always issues and bugs but found WebSell were quick at resolving any issues. We found them patient and offered great solutions within a complicated brief and a tight budget. Design and implementation were seamless despite having to launch earlier than scheduled due to issues with our old system. We were guided into the new system every step of the way which made the learning curve in using WebSell much smoother.
